Born and raised in the Florida Panhandle, Kat spent 2004 to 2015 in Wyoming/South Dakota and decided 12 years was more than enough snow to last a lifetime. Since returning to the Sunshine State, she has brought both precision and personality to her role at ACEs. With more than 20 years of accounting experience, Kat has mastered everything from payroll, A/R, A/P, and bank reconciliations to government tax reporting, 401(k) administration, and financial closings—while somehow also serving as webmaster and all-around problem solver. Her toolkit includes JAMIS Prime ERP (2025–2026 JAMIS Prime Community Ambassador), JAMIS HCM, QuickBooks (former Pro Advisor), and enough Excel expertise to make spreadsheets blush. Kat is known for her methodical attention to detail, ability to juggle multiple priorities, and talent for learning new systems quickly. Translation: if there’s a deadline, a discrepancy, or a database behaving badly, she’s already on it—with color-coded tabs.
Outside the office, Kat hasn’t met a craft she couldn’t conquer and is an author who believes in making lemonade from lemons and writing stories about imperfect people striving to do the right thing. A cross-cultural studies major (which she uses to justify her love of Asian TV dramas and immersive fantasy worlds), she lives with her first love and their college-age daughter—proof that happy endings exist both in fiction and in life.
